Beyoncé announced she was having twins which created a huge buzz on the internet and social media. The photo she released of her maternity shoot became the most liked picture on Instagram. Beyoncé is known for being private about her family life, but many other celebrities have been more open about their experiences with childbirth. Several celebrities have used doulas, such as Kelly Rowland, Nicole Kidman, Rebecca Minkoff and twin sisters Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley.
Latham Thomas and Lori Bregman are known for being doulas to the stars. But what if, instead, you could choose your favorite celebrity to be your doula? Here’s who a few of the doulas at New Orleans Doulas would hire if we could choose our favorite celebrities!
“Without a doubt, I would hire Taraji P. Henson to be my doula. The fierceness of “Cookie” from Fox’s Empire combined with her personal, sweet demeanor would be perfect for the delivery room. She is really in touch with her fans and has this mama vibe about her that would make me feel super comfortable. I also love her story of how she became famous after moving with her son to LA with just $700. As a single mom, that is so inspiring to me. I can just imagine how she would rock the delivery room!”
“I want two doulas. I feel like I need Tracee Ellis Ross, but specifically as her character Rainbow Johnson. Rainbow Johnson is the kind of mom I want to be! She is real and loving yet tells her kids exactly what’s on her mind. If she was my doula, I imagine her taking control and coaching me through tough moments. But I also want Amy Adams to be my second doula. She is someone I feel like I can relate to. We are both from a small town and have similar backgrounds. I can totally relate to her explanation of what it was like growing up in a big family. Amy would be a great postpartum doula because she has a calm attitude. I think she would make me feel comfortable, she is beautiful, and my 4-year-old would love her.”
“My doula would be Kristen Bell because she is hilarious and down to earth. She would bring much needed humor to a serious situation. I think she would be really good at keeping me relaxed and in the moment. I mean anyone who loves sloths has to be an awesome doula! And her relationship gives me #relationship goals.”
Kristen used a doula for the birth of her second daughter, Delta Bell. Click here to read what Kristen Bell’s Doula, Lori Bregman, suggests packing in your hospital bag!
